Since starting my blog, I have come across a variety of small businesses and artists that have been so inspiring with their content and business models. Because of their stunning content and products, I decided to start blogging about some of my favorite businesses on Instagram.
Today, I am featuring a socially conscious furniture and textile business that provides handmade pieces from Guatemala and El Salvador. Maya Mueble's business model focuses on cutting out the middle man and working directly with artisans in Guatemala and El Salvador to provide handcrafted products to a broader market while trying to promote economic empowerment in these regions. Their products are chic while offering a traditional handcrafted style. All the textile products are loomed by hand. Check out the photos below and their site for more info! And don't forget to follow them on their Instagram @MAYAMUEBLE
The MOMO wool blanket, short for Momostenango - where the blankets are hand loomed, are made from 100% wool on foot looms in the highlands of Guatemala. Each blanket is one of a kind and offers a cozy and chic style perfect for any home.
